News from the Chair

Senior Lauren Zundel won the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program award.

The scholarship supports students who intend to pursue careers in science, mathematics and engineering by covering the cost of tuition, fees, books, and room and board up to a maximum of $7,500 per year.

Lauren is majoring in physics & mathematics. She intends to conduct research in the area of theoretical nanophotonics and teach at the university level.
