Keith Lidke and Arash Mafi Promoted to Professor
The Department of Physics and Astronomy is proud to announce that both Keith Lidke and Arash Mafi have been awarded the title of Professor.
Dr. Lidke joined the UNM Physics and Astronomy faculty in 2007. His areas of research are biophysics and fluorescence nanoscopy including super-resolution, single particle tracking and hyperspecial imaging. He is a member of the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center and directs the Super-resolution Technology Core for The New Mexico Spatiotemporal Modeling Center.
Dr. Mafi joined the UNM Physics and Astronomy faculty in 2014. His areas of research are Photonics, Plasmonics, Surface plasmon based optical sensors for chemical and biological detection, Metamaterials, Photonic bandgap structures, Optical fiber communications, Multimode fibers, Fiber lasers. He was named the Center for High Technology Materials Director earlier this year.
