Groundbreaking ceremony
The official groundbreaking of a new facility named Physics & Astronomy and Interdisciplinary Science or PAÍS, hosted by UNM Arts & Sciences Dean Mark Peceny, took place on Tuesday, March 20 2018, at the construction site at the southeast corner of Yale Mall where an old, dormant water reservoir for the City of Albuquerque once stood for years.
