Undergraduate Nelly Ayllon Nominated as Speaker for Conference
Undergraduate Nelly Ayllon was selected to deliver a plenary talk on her work developing new particle physics detectors. She was invited to speak at the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physical Sciences at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. The conference will be held October 15-17, 2015.
Each year, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln brings together outstanding undergraduate women researchers for a three-day conference. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a platform for students to expand upon their current research activities by presenting their projects and results to their peers. The conference will also provide opportunities for participants to share their experiences and interests with other students, as well as to visit about graduate school preparation and career planning with faculty members from UNL and other universities across the United States. This year's conference will be held from Thursday, October 15th through Saturday, October 17th, in partnership with the Nebraska Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC), the Nebraska-Kansas EPSCoR Consortium for Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics, and the Nebraska Center for Materials and Nanoscience (NCMN).
Congratulations Nelly!
